Sarili Lodge is situated in the southern region of the Shamwari Game Reserve. The lodge offers a traditional bush experience combined with a colonial feel. Sarili is a friendly and relaxed family- orientated safari lodge offering magnificent views and fantastic game viewing opportunities.

SARILI LODGE DESCRIPTION

Sarili Lodge is an environmentally friendly thatched safari lodge consisting of five suites with en-suite facilities accommodating a total of ten guests. The villas offer spacious decks overlooking the Bushman's River, mini bars, a fireplace, air-conditioning, hair dryers, electronic safe, tea and coffee making facilities as well as international adapters. The dé cor creates a feel similar to that of an old traditional farmhouse. The lodge features a child friendly swimming pool, dining and lounge areas as well as a children's den with T.V, courtyard barbeque/braai area, special children's menu and dedicated child minders. Shamwari offers a special "Kids on Safari" program where kids aged 4 and older have a chance of a lifetime to view the Big 5, view a special educational film and visit the Born Free Foundation and Shamwari Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. The lodge also has a gift shop.



SARILI LODGE GAME VIEWING AND ACTIVITIES

Shamwari Game Reserve is a big five, private game reserve and consists of 20 000 hectares (49000 acres) of malaria free, prime African bushland. Shamwari has received numerous international awards, including the World's Leading Conservation Company and Game Reserve for five consecutive years. The reserve boasts five eco-systems, thus enabling the support of many forms of plant, animal and bird life. Activities include early morning and late afternoon game drives as well as guided bush walks. All game activities are accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable guides. Guests can expect to see lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, black and white rhinoceros, hippopotamus, kudu, springbok, bushbuck, grey duiker, black wildebeest, gemsbok and zebra. If guests are lucky they might spot cheetah, brown hyena, the elusive leopard as well as wild dog.
